Something is missing in this case, she said to herself.  I don’t believe I talked to everyone.  I need another witness.  Renee witnessed this, but with her record, it won’t stick in court.  Kitty doesn’t think Alchemist is a suspect, but that can’t be confirmed.  She’s in love with Alchemist.  That’s obvious.  I need to speak to him.
Kelly picked up her phone and spoke to the warden on the other end.  She asked him to get Alchemist ready for an interview.  Immediately after she hung up the phone it rang.  A familiar voice on the other end responded her after she answered the call.
“Hey, Kelly,” said Nicole on the other end.  “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine.  I’m working on this tedious case.”  Kelly was surprised to hear from Nicole.  She had not heard from her since that day.  “How about you?” Kelly continued.
“Well, I actually haven’t heard from you, and was hoping I could see you today.  I don’t know.  I’ve been sitting here thinking about you.  I tried to call your cell earlier, but I didn’t get an answer.”
“Yea, I think I was on my way to lunch.  Why are you just now calling me?”
“Honestly, Kelly, that night had me embarrassed, so I’ve been scared to call.”
            “Well, I…”
“Please Kelly.  I had my first patient in a long time die.  It wouldn’t have been so bad had it not been a three year old boy.”
“Yeah, I heard.  I was going to call and check on you because I knew that you worked in intensive care.  I’m actually working on that case.”
“What time do you think you’ll be getting off?”
            “I’m not sure.”
“Well, please call me.  They gave me a week off to deal with the situation and I can’t deal with this alone.”
“I will.”  Kelly didn’t want to blow Nicole off intentionally.  They still had been friends before that night.  Nicole had been her only female friend.  She wanted to keep her close since she once again felt as if she was losing Steven.  It always seemed the Nicole came at the right time.
“We don’t have to do anything.  I just need someone to talk to.  I know that night was probably about the alcohol, anyway.”
“I will.  I have to talk to you later.  I’m backed up here,” said Kelly, hanging up the phone.  She didn’t want to hang up so quickly, but she wasn’t sure what to say anyway.  She knew that night wasn’t just about the alcohol, but didn’t want to explain that to Nicole.  Even after three months, she debated as to whether she would do it again.  She used Steven to try to forget the incident, but it had not worked.
Kelly continued to ruffle through the papers on her desk.  It had already been passed the time she usually solved a case, so she wondered if she would solve it at all.  She was known as the only detective to not let a suspect hide right under her nose.
Kelly began going through the folders on her desk and came across one labeled Bison Case.  She hadn’t seen this on her desk before today.  She grabbed the file, ignored the top-secret words on it, and opened it.
The Chief must’ve put this here, she said to herself.  This was not on my desk before.  Kelly read through the file, finding information that the Chief said earlier being true.  She read through the file in blocks.
Mohammed Bison: born October 26th 1983.  Alias: “Alchemist”.  Address: 12053 Maple berry Rd Nashville TN 37995.  Known contacts: Carmen Thompson AKA “Kitty”.  Relationship: Friend.  Alton Reid, aka “Proper”.  Relationship: Cousin.  Jeremy Banks: Alias unknown.  Relationship: Business partner.  Dante Johnson, aka “Prime”.  Relationship: Friend.  Kelly continued to read 20 other contacts before flipping through the page.
Mohammed Bison has refused to increase his monthly contributions.   Initiate full investigation.  Gain all evidence for a probable arrest.  Possible undercover operatives necessary.  Kelly could not believe what she was reading.  The Chief was right.
Why would they put this in a file, she thought to herself.

“Hey,” responded Steven on the other end of the phone.  “Sorry about earlier, I just hate it when you call me knowing I’m at home.”
“Steven,” said Kelly walking back to sit comfortably on her couch, “I’m always second in your life.  I hate being second.  You told me that you were going to leave her.  You told me that it wasn’t working out.  Shit you both told me that you don’t love each other anymore.  Why are you still with her?”
“You are second because I’m still married.  I can’t take the fact that she’s going to take half of everything if I leave her and that’s not even including her monthly alimony and child support.  After all that, I’d feel like I’m working for nothing.”
“That’s why I’m here to help you.  Let me help you.”
“Just give me time.  Anyway I called to see what happened with the suspect.”
“Well the Chief let her go home for the night.”
“Really?  So they just let her go.”
“Well the Chief said if she comes back then she comes back but I made her sign a paper to ensure that she comes back.”
“How’d you get her to do that?”
    “I have my ways.”
“I know you do.  Well look I need to head back in the house before my wife starts looking for me.”
   “See, like I said second.”
“We’ll talk about this tomorrow.  I love you.”
“I love you too.”  Kelly hung up her cell phone and threw it on the couch.  Gosh she said to herself.  Why do I even go through this shit? Why do I put up with him?  Why do I even love him?  Kelly was deeply in love with Steven.  Even though she attempted to hide it most of the time, she couldn’t always hide her feelings.  She had wondered if Steven knew how she felt.  She has told him on several occasions that she loves him but she never made it known how much.
Kelly turned the TV off and began to make her way to her room.  Another lonely night, she said to herself.  She couldn’t fathom sleeping yet again by herself.  She walked to her bathroom and changed into her night outfit.  She directed herself straight to her dresser and opened up the top drawer.  The drawer was filled with her undergarments.  She ruffled through them until she found her favorite toy, a rabbit style dolphin vibrator.
Looks like this will be my action tonight she said to herself.  She lied on the bed and began to relax herself.   Kelly turned off the lights and lit a candle that sat on her nightstand beside her bed.  The pre-used candle burned giving off a dim glow into the room.
While lying on her back, Kelly removed her panties.  She used her legs to slide them off so she did not have to sit up and use her hands.  She spread her legs and placed the vibrator between her legs.  The vibrator gave off a humming noise after she pushed the button to turn it on.  She planted the main portion of the vibrator inside of her vagina.  The middle of her back left the bed as the vibrator tingled inside of her.  The rounded nose of the dolphin rested comfortably onto her clitoris adding to her orgasmic feeling.  Her entire body tingled as the feeling in her vagina escalated to other body parts.

“I did not kill him,” said Renee as she sat quietly in front of Detective Reilly.  She knew exactly what to do and what to say.  This was not her first time talking to the police.  In her mind, she could not believe she had been here for the reasons that she was.
Renee was only a little smaller than Kelly.  Her five foot three inch body rested in a chair much smaller than the one Detective Reilly was in.  The chair given to Renee to sit in was very uncomfortable.  The police in the department would often give their suspects the uncomfortable seat with hopes that the discomfort would get them to talk.
“You know you did,” said Detective Reilly as she pulled a chair from the table.  She sat down in the chair and leaned with her arms folded in front of her.  “We even have an eye-witness that points you out.  She places you outside of the house watching him.  Did you think that we would have picked you up for no reason?”
            “I didn’t…”
“And it’s my job to make sure you go down for a long time for this,” continued Detective Reilly.  “You do know that right?”  Detective Reilly wanted to use every tactic she could to get the truth from Renee.  She wanted Renee to know that she was the boss and that she was in charge.
